What you keep when you move from HaloPSA to OKTO PSA
An MSP changing PSA software wants to know one thing first: will Monday morning still work? Here is what ships today, as described in the list of shipped modules.
Tickets and business-hour SLAs
Team queues, priorities, one-click assignment. Each ticket carries two clocks, first response and resolution, which follow the client’s calendar and Quebec statutory holidays. They stop while you wait on the client.
Contracts and hour banks
Per-device plan, hour bank or hourly rate. The bank draws down with every time entry, and overage is invoiced in one click.
Invoices with GST and QST
The month’s recurring invoices are prepared in one pass, taxes computed and rounded to the cent. They then go to QuickBooks and to the portal, where the client pays through Stripe.
Assets and RMM alerts
Connected to OKTO RMM, the fleet shows up in the client record and alerts land in the same queue as tickets. If you run NinjaOne or Tactical RMM, that connection exists too.
CRM and HR in the same price

When is HaloPSA the better choice?
There are cases where we would tell you ourselves to stay with Halo. Here are four, and none of them is minor.
You live by the API
OKTO PSA has no public API, no webhooks and no SAML. If your in-house automations read and write to your PSA software all day long, HaloPSA, which documents its API, covers that need. We do not.
You need many integrations
Halo lists more than 250 native integrations included in its price. Our list has seven, all shipped and in use: QuickBooks, Stripe, OKTO RMM, NinjaOne, Tactical RMM, Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace.
You want it on your own servers
Halo offers private cloud and on-premise installation. OKTO PSA is hosted by us, in Quebec, in an instance of your own. A dedicated virtual machine is available as an option at $40 a month.
You build your own reports
Our reporting stops at a fixed dashboard and five CSV exports. There is no knowledge base, and custom fields are not shipped. A team that builds new reports every week will be more at home elsewhere.
How do you migrate from HaloPSA to OKTO PSA?
